Preparation Method

Stovetop (boiled)

Bring 4 liters of water to a boil (210.2°F / 99°C) in a large pot.

Add 50 uncooked wontons to boiling water.

Cook for 3½ to 4 minutes, stirring gently.

Drain well and serve.

*To make wonton soup, replace the water with chicken broth.

Deep-frying

Preheat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

Place 25 uncooked wontons in the hot oil.

Fry for 3 to 3½ minutes, until golden brown.

Remove and place on paper towels to drain off excess oil before serving.

Notes

Microwave cooking is not recommended.
